City of Stockbridge
Clark Community Park, Gardner Park, and Simmons Park are located within the city and have playgrounds, walking trails, pavilions, tennis courts, and picnic areas. Simmons Park has handicap access as well. A small park beside city hall features a fountain and built-to-scale replica of the Statue of Liberty. A branch of the Henry County Library System is located in Stockbridge, as well as a satellite office of the Henry County Health Department.
Here, thousands of visitors are attracted each April to attend the LPGA’s Chick-fil-A Charity Championship at Eagle's Landing Country Club. Various residential neighborhoods, office parks and commercial areas are part of this mixed-use development. Apartments, condominiums, cluster homes, estates, farms… they’re all here and in every price range.
The city’s largest employers include Georgia Power Company’s Customer Care Center, and the SunTrust Bank Operations Center, as well as Henry Medical Center.
